Tips to Avoid Eye Irritations
To avoid eye irritations or infections such as pink eye just follow these simple rules of thumb.
Always use a clean brush to apply your eye shadow and eye liner. Even though our mineral makeup cannot harbor bacteria, your brushes can.
Avoid applying your eye liner to the inside rim surface of your eye lid. Even with a clean brush, applying to the inner rim will cause some irritation to your eyes.
Eye Shadow Tips
First, prime your eyelids with a dusting of either your Radiant Minerals Concealer or your Foundation -- either one is fine, just make sure it is a neutral color. This will give you the perfect base for your eye shadow application. - We also recommend the use of a Liquid Primer. Your eye shadows will last longer.
Second, use a lighter color eye shadow as a base by sweeping your eye shadow brush across your eye lid from your brow bone to your inner portion of the eye, because you do not want to stretch the skin.
Then select another eye shadow color for the middle crease, preferably a medium to darker shade. You can also contour your middle crease with your darker eye shadow shades.
To avoid the appearance of hard separation lines between your colors, always blend softly with your ring or index finger, or blend with the end of your eye brush.
Tips for turning back the clock
Right underneath your brow bone use a light color eye shadow -- such as Loveryl, Glimmer, Sandy or even RM Illuminizers-- to highlight the brow bone. This technique will open up your eye giving you an alert look and taking the tired appearance away.
Eye Liner Tips
Want to get noticed? Try lining your eyes with our Radiant Minerals eye shadow! Unlike mass-market eye liner pencils that give your eyes a harsh, unnatural, "done-up" look, Radiant Minerals eye shadows give you the soft, natural look you want. Not only that, using your shadows as eye liner is quick, easy and mistake proof!
For brown eyes use a rich brown or black liner. For blue eyes try a brown or a lighter black shade.
Just dip your brush into the shadow and remove any excess. Start from the outer portion of your lash line and work your way in making sure not to leave any blank spots between the eye lashes. It needs to be a nice solid line.
Want a more dramatic look? Apply your shadow eye liner wet!
